Each member has involved in Group Cultivation Programme have cultivated land ranging from 10 cents to 1 acre with respect to their investments., ,The plantation is located at Wandoor-Pandikkadu road (Mysore/Ooty road), Malappuram district, Kerala, South India. We cultivates 9 Acres of medicinal plants and we are planning to conduct Research and Development work related to the genetic importance, economic cultivation and processing techniques of listed medicinal plants like Safed Musli. We are one of the cultivators of Safed Musli or Chlorophytum Borivlianum, grown rich in organically using cowdung/vermi compost with neem cake, an organic manure mix without the use of any insecticides or chemical fertilizers. , ,Malabar Herbs & Musli Growers Society (Regd) used best A+ grade quality tubers from SAMUGA (Safed Musli Growers Association of South India,Mysore) for first plantation., ,At year 2005Jan, we shall achieve the target quantity of atleast 30tons of dried Safed musli grown organically. We are looking forward to supply such a bulk quantity of Dried Safed musli as per the market requirement. Its vast demand and its short supply, Malabar Herbs & Musli Growers Society (Regd) is looking forward to expand the plantations to 36 acres.
