Students will acquire the necessary knowledge to effectively manage fiber optic networks using the latest components and equipment. FiberOptic.com s two courses provide important fiber optic knowledge for novice and veterans alike. Courses are available at our office and at the location of your choice. For onsite training, a minimum of six students is required.

Company Overview:
In 1860, Alexander Graham Bell demonstrated that light reflected off of mirrors was modulated by waves of sound. Following this discovery, American researchers were able to demonstrate the transmission of an image through a bundle of glass fibers. Researchers began experimenting with cladding, which greatly improved transmission characteristics by reducing the dispersion of light. Later, lasers were implemented as light sources because they could provide parallel light in a steady stream at only one wavelength.
Since then, the demand for optical fiber technology has increased exponentially and procurement methods have been modified to allow for a global market. However, The Fiber Optic Marketplace is the first online procurement management system developed to bridge buyers and sellers from multiple sites into a single repository. Our service consists of a single database linked to multiple front-ends disbursed across multiple domains. Traffic from these partner sites is combined to create the single largest database of fiber optic procurement requests worldwide.
The Fiber Optic Marketplace (FOM) offers procurement services and high-level business services to small to medium sized fiber optic companies. FOM's services fall under two tiers: member and non-member.
Members and non-members alike can benefit from the "Industry News" and "Sponsors", "Events Calendar" and "Company Spotlight" sections of the site, all of which serve to keep our visitors informed of all current news, happenings and company information relative to the fiber optic industry.
